Welcome, my name is Lauren. I originally came from a corporate background, working predominately in the real estate, administration and client engagement fields. However all of that changed in 2011, when I decided for a seachange. My life would never be the same again!
Through my own personal adversities I faced throughout childhood and adulthood; it became quite clear to me that I had a passion within me lying dormant for many years crying to reach out. That passion was to not only help others in the wider community, but by doing so; I would help myself.
So my life changed that day, when I decided I wanted to become a qualified Professional Counsellor. Since then, I have come to work with many types of clients; both voluntary and paid work. My family, friends or people I meet in the community, will often ask me why I decided to become a Counsellor; and change from my former successful real estate career. My simple answer is this...my true passion has and always will be to EMPOWER PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS! I love working in the Community and reaching out to everyone, young and old, youth or unemployed, disability, couples.

I have some Exciting News to Share for 2025!
So you may have noticed I have been MIA for quite sometime. There is a simple reason for that. Unfortunately, I had to take time off (and still am currently) for cancer treatment. However, once I'm recovered well enough and in remission next year, I plan to bring you some exciting news! I won't give away too much now, but just know this. I will be combining my counselling skills along with helping youth and adults how to read and write. More to come soon!
In the meantime, I hope you all have a joyous Christmas Holiday and A Happy New Year, especially during these difficult times.
